Kamalesh Roy, a student of the foundation, delivered a talk on “Targeted amplicon-sequencing based mutational analysis and details of Tp53 novel hotspot mutant tetramer blinded DNA by molecular dynamics simulation study in Eastern Indian gallbladder cancer patient cohort” at ICAMB, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, on 21st January, 2025.

ECSF intern student Koushiki Goswami has secured a PhD position at the department of Geography at the Visva Bharati University. She would be working on landslides in the Himalayan landscape.

The ECSF Director Dr. Sourav Paul met Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi) and discussed land to lab problem solving approaches in research and academia.

ECSF Director Dr. Sourav Paul delivered an invited lecture on building the cyclone research program of India with emphasis to Indian Sundarbans. The lecture was hosted by the Dept. of Aquatic Biology and Fisheries of the University of Kerala, Trivandrum on 12 December 2024. It was attended by many distinguished scientists, faculties, fellows, PhD and postgraduate students of different disciplines.

An inspiring INSA Popular Science Lecture of Dr. Kunal Chakraborty for promotion of science, interdisciplinary science and Ocean Science and scope of students (emphasis on girls) was jointly hosted by the ECSF and Hiralal Mazumder Memorial College for Women on 3 December 2024 at the college auditorium.
